With 2015 now a distant memory 2016 is already proving to be a busy year for our European installation service team and in house event flooring manufacturing team with projects ranging from custom logo mats for Coca Cola to artificial grass event installations for leading cosmetic brands.
Currently underway we have two projects running for two major sports brands which requires installations in Madrid, Paris, Turin, Milan, Florence, Munch, Cologne, Manchester and London. During this project we have had vans based in Europe since the first week of January and will remain until the last week of March before returning to the UK. Moving each project overnight location to location ready for the next event installation including visiting each location more than once.
During the projects we have had two crews of installers one with each van to allow for a speedy installation and remove of the artificial grass surface along with a cushioned shockpad which is installed first followed by our own unique locking system to ensure a safe surface for the various sports played on them during filming. During the Paris installation our installers were also involved with the installation of 200sqm of Hand Ball hardwood court flooring of course once they had removed the artificial grass.
It sounds glamourous to all my friends traveling to all these exciting cities with days of waiting between installation and removal… but the truth in reality is sleeping during the day ready for a nightshift with traveling through the Austrian Alps during the night and not getting to see any of it…. And on many occasion’s traveling on roads covered in snow and ice in the middle of the night! Along with spending hours waiting at airports to catch flights to the next location and meeting up with the other installation team. (Inguss Liepins – Lead installer)
