Water Saving |
![]() |
Due to changes in climate, it seems inevitable that most
UK homeowners will be facing a hosepipe and sprinkler ban and may even
have to have water meters installed to monitor water usage. This will impact
our lives greatly as we’ll constantly have to monitor our water usage
if supplies aren’t increased.
According to BBC News ‘Population demands, unpredictable weather and the growing demands of householders are all given as reasons’ for water shortages. It seems that the South East region of the UK looks set to be the biggest area of concern. With certain areas of the house taking priority over others for the
need for water (kitchen, bathroom etc) one area that could be neglected
(and may even have to be neglected), is the garden, and in particular
the lawn. The Environment Agency advised not to water the lawn as a
water saving measure! However, this doesn’t mean the end of a
lush green lawn… |

8 Ways To Save Water Please take a look at our photos of past Lazy Lawn installations to see how realistic our Synthetic Turf looks. Ideas and Examples |

With the many large developments planned in the South East region, many contractors will be looking for a real grass alternative and Artificial Lawns are the obvious alternative. Lazy Lawns behave just like natural lawns being fully permeable so water passes through them, so they will cause no drainage problems. Restrictions placed on our water consumption are obviously not going to prove to be very popular, but at least you can be assured that Evergreens UK will deliver to you the best alternative to real turf.

Even if you will not be greatly affected by the water restrictions, Lazy Lawns offer many benefits and are ideal for shaded and muddy lawns, dog owners, play areas, patios, pool sides, terraces, courtyards and roof gardens. A Lazy lawn could be just a small step in helping to conserve water,
other ways include; turning taps off when brushing teeth or washing
vegetables, taking showers instead of baths and keeping a water butt
in the garden. |
