Evergreens supplied and installed over 200sqm of Lazy Grass. This artificial grass was used because of its proven track record in the Big Brother 7 secret garden and the main lawn in Celebrity Big Brother 2007.

The lawn areas including the secret garden were installed in one day during the construction of the house. With the smoking ban put in place, the garden became the main area for many of the contestants. To ensure the surface remained safe, durable and complied with the production companies requirements it was decided that the sand filled Lazy Grass was the most suitable option. The infill of Lazy Grass enabled the product to lay 100% flat following the natural contours of the ground below whilst providing a fixing method to the floor without the need of folding the artificial grass over the timbers to fix to, it also gave the grass a level of fire resistance.

During the show the garden was heavily used by 24 different housemates over a 14 week period, the lawn was extensively used for many things including tasks, sunbathing, and smoking. At the end of the show producers and design staff were surprised how good it looked with no sign of wear, or damage so it was left in place for further television projects to this day.

For their distinctive new Bullring store opening, Selfridges decided to roll out the blue carpet for over 200 VIP'S, from designers to celebrities. The event designers contracted Evergreens UK to supply and install 600 sqm of Meadow Turf Blue for the event which included corners, radius cuts and the unrolling of 500 sqm of artificial grass uphill. Evergreens had a 2 hour limit to complete the job working around builders and machinery. Starting at 4:30pm and finishing at 6:30 pm, all the artificial grass was fixed down using exterior double sided tape to prevent wind from lifting the surface and to comply with health and safety regulations. At 7pm the guests arrived and walked the 200m long "blue carpet" to the new Selfridges store. By 9pm the guests had left and Evergreens lifted all the artificial grass by the 9:30pm deadline.

Evergreens supplied and installed a promotional football pitch for a Brazilian drink promotion at Cannes Film Festival 2006 on the beachfront.

The pitch was transported in 6 sections, 4 rolls at 4m x 12.50m and 2 rolls 8m x 12.50m and it was joined on site with 3 seams in total, one which was hidden down the centre line.

The pitch was made using Grass Park Junior artificial grass with a 14mm pile height and white lines were made from the same material in white and inlayed into the pitch at the factory. Grass Park Junior is a top of the range sports surfaces and was more than up to task to host the Brazilian World Cup Stars Vs The Celebrities.

The grass was secured down with staples to a wooden decking at the perimeters to allow for a safe fixing and also an easy removal to allow Evergreens to work to the tight deadlines at the event.

Members of the Brazilian World Cup winning side from 1994 including Aldiar, Bebeto, Dunga, Leonardo, Careca, Rai, Mauro Silva and Taffarel played against celebrities including Colin Jackson and Abs from 5ive and needless to say, they beat them quite convincingly!

For the start of the premiership 3 Mobile we transformed it's three main stores, two in London and one in Birmingham into football pitches to run with the company's football promotions during the start of the season.

Each store was visited by Evergreens and laser measured and the sizes plotted into our computers which provided us with a outline of each store. Once the store floor area and shop fittings were plotted into the computer the line and logo markings were overlaid and a printed mock-up of each store was printed. Once each store design was signed off we started to produce each floor area with a +60mm on each edge to allow for trimming in onsite. This system allows quick installation overnight and ensures that the finished result is what the client required.

Evergreens UK was selected to provide the flooring and fitting service for Fords latest product launch party in Geneva. Over 700sqm of Springfield Curl, 250sqm of 6mm rubber and 50sqm of Thisleton wet area carpeting was shipped and fitted in two 12 hr fitting periods using 4 fitters. The flooring included a 35m road section that was pre-cut on Evergreens automated cutting machine to ensure a perfect arc shape and reduce fitting time, this road area was made up of 37 pre-cut sections which allowed ease of handling. Other areas including car stages were covered using our 6mm rubber which again was pre-cut. Other features included yellow carpeting cut into the artificial grass to provide areas looking like gravel tracks where Fords Focus WRC cars were parked, white lines and zebra crossings to provide a realistic looking road.

During the World Match Play Championships, HSBC the official sponsor wanted to bring the theme to their Docklands head office. The putting green was not to be used for any putting but had to look visually good, whilst able to withstand the high volume of traffic walking over it every day to access the lifts of the building. The surfaces used were selected for their visual looks and the low radius BS4790 floor coverings burn test that both surfaces used passed. This is a requirement in all indoor exhibition and public buildings, also disabled staff had to be able to use wheelchairs across the surfaces with out causing excessive effort.

The green was in place for two weeks during Wentworth and was installed and removed over weekends to reduce interruption to staff working in the building. Evergreens specialise in the manufacture of custom putting greens similar to the HSBC green to much smaller putting games for branded events such as the Audi mat seen above which was produced for a chain of Audi dealerships. With our unique cutting service we are also able to produce greens to any size or shape including the most complicated logos or themes.

Well normally no but for Sky One All Stars 2007 this was the requirement due to the tight schedule. The event was held at the David Beckham Academy in Greenwich London. The schedule was limited due to other commitments at the academy, and the time required to install 6000 sqm of plastic trackway to protect the Field Turf pitch below and install all the required seating, lighting and production equipment that only left a window of 24 hours to install the pitch before the producers required to start test filming and lighting tests.

The pitch surface had been specified by the production company and Evergreens were contacted to install the surface by the manufacturer and pre-make some of the pitch components using detailed cad drawings. This enabled us to install the complete centre circle in two pieces which included all the pitch markings, this also applied to each of the goal sections being delivered to site in two pieces each with all the marking and lines pre-installed allowed the fast installation.

Installation started at 6pm and our staff worked till 5:45pm the next evening using 10 of our own skilled fitting staff all of which have a high level of experience in installing large commercial flooring projects. During the week long live broadcast we were requested to supply one fitter to be onsite one hour before each match to walk the pitch to check for damage or sharpe objects on the playing area, also to provide instant backup during the live show.

One of the dilemmas with this installation was the fixing method. The pitch had to be firmly fixed down to allow full and realistic play without the pitch moving or ripping but had to be installed onto a plastic trackway without damaging it or any of the Field Turf pitch below it, also the requirement to remove the pitch without damaging the surface to allow for future installations. This was achieved using our unique locking system which can be used on many surfaces form plastic trackway to hotel carpets.

Evergreens supplied and installed promotional flooring for T-Mobile at the massive Soccer Aid event in May 2006 that climaxed at Manchester United's Old Trafford Football Stadium with ex-professional football players and celebrities playing to a packed out stadium.

Evergreens installed 1,200 sqm's of Springfield Curl artificial grass inside the stadium for an exclusive invite only VIP after show event which involved an auction and Robbie Williams offered the highest bidder a night out on the town!

For IBM's Special campaign running along side Wimbledon 2006, Evergreens UK were asked to supply various lawn areas ranging from 2m square to 21m x 5m. The artificial grass lawns all of which were Bluetooth enabled using IBM technology were installed over two weekend in various areas ranging from Liverpool St Station to IBM's UK head office.

The smaller lawn areas included Wimbledon umpire chairs and timber surrounds with clear plastic guards to discourage the public from climbing on or walking over them. All the artificial grass used for this project was Lazy Grass, the timber and clear guards were supplied by Evergreens Event Department.

Each of the smaller areas were pre-built at our factory to allow quick installation and removal, including wooden base below the artificial grass to allow the chair to be fixed down. Once installed the Bluetooth was enabled which would allow phone users passing by access to Wimbledon scores and movie clips from current matches.

The installation at Selfridges London was fitted in 12 hours and consisted of three areas. Each room had its own unique off the wall themes.

The checkerboard room for example was designed to confuse your senses when entering, with wall leaning at obscure angle and the floor rising up at one end.

The main area was the most difficult to produce due to its specific design brief but with a very small budget, this was achieved using various budget vinyl's achieving the mock marble look. This was pre-cut into 98 pieces that was assembled on site to produce the complex looking floor. This was designed to last for an 8 week period but would in reality last for years.

Our Lazy Grass surface was used in the garden for the ninth series of the popular TV show, once again selected for its realistic look and durability to cope with all the activities the housemates had to complete over the many weeks the show ran.

This was the 4th year Evergreens were involved with the show. The cutting edge furniture and sweeoing shapes made our LazyLawn artificial grass the perfect partner to complete the modern look the producers of the show wished to create.

The sand filling element of the grass was also a key attribute as it provided the best rating possible, so if cigarettes were accidently disposed of on the grass (and not in the funky white ashtray), there was only a minimal effect and more importantly, no hazard to the contestants.

For the launch of the new series 'Rolf on Art' the BBC asked Evergreens UK to supply and install 600sqm of red carpet. The brief was to cover the whole area around Nelsons Column and the main stage. The carpet was joined at our factory into 6m wide and 30m long rolls this allowed less joins onsite which would be of benefit if the weather was poor during installation. The carpet also had to be tested to ensure that no colour would wash out and stain the floor area around trafalgar Square.

The joins were made using double sided tape, tear proof join tape and high pressure hot melt glue. This ensured that wind or walking traffic could not rip the joins apart, all edges were protected with large bevel timber edges which were covered in the same matching carpet.

Evergreens was selected by Biotherm to install the flooring for their product launch at Selfridges London. The brief was to supply and install 50 linear metres of Meadow Turf Blue 1.3m wide with the Biotherm wave logo incorporated into it, all to be fitted within 15 minutes. The limited time was due to Selfridges closing at 8pm and the shop being cleared by 8.15pm with guests arriving at 8.30pm. Evergreens used 7 fitters which were onsite from 7pm and cleared the event at 11pm. The flooring was designed on our CAD powered cutting table, working from a site visit, Selfridges floor plan and the customer requirements. The area included five 90 deg turns, anti trip edges on entrance areas and fitted into escalator ramp.

Orange Prize For Fiction was held on the South Bank of London and was hosted in a 60m x 25m tent of which Evergreens covered 40m x 25m using our Springfield Curl and Paved Lino. 750sqm of Springfield curl was used and 300 sqm of lino. To produce this Evergreens used cad drawings from the tent supplier and ideas from the customer to produce a "wondering path of lino" through the Springfield Curl. Each section of lino was pre-cut in our factory, this enabled us to fit all the surfaces in 7 hours from 7pm to 2am. With our cutting machine we were able to produce the shape of the path (40m long x 13m wide) to the exact requirement of the customer this also enabled other contractors to work from the same drawing instead of waiting until the installation was complete to work out there requirements. Once Evergreens were finished the area was planted with over 5 trucks of plants, trees, water features and garden furniture. Also part of the project was to install the surface without damaging the the carpet that was supplied with the tent, this was successfully completed using various specialist join tapes.

For the launch of  'The Beach Island Life' at the London O2 formally knows as the Millennium Dome, Evergreens UK were asked to supply and install over 800sqm of Blue Exhibition grade carpet for the main floor area, main stage and bar areas.

The theme of this project was a desert island and included a 22m diameter real sand beach, rafts, boats and 12 shark fins which were placed on the blue carpet once installed. The flooring had to be installed in a 12 hour period working around other contractors.

Evergreens were used because of our high quality installation standard and our ability to install in short time periods on floor surfaces ranging from concrete - polished marble, all without damaging the venues floor.

For the re-launch of Manchester's Virgin Megastore, Evergreens was asked to supply and install a temporary red walkway around the store. The purpose of the pathway was to lead VIPs to key areas of the store and then onto the live band downstairs. The store section was installed the evening before the launch using over 80 linear meters which changed direction around the store this was installed onto a highly polished wooden floor which could not be damaged by the fixing method but had to withstand a full days trading before the VIP event.

Part of the installation was to lay over 40 linear meters through the Arndale Shopping Centre 15 minutes before the VIPs arrived. This was installed and removed along with all the pathway surface in the store once the event was over.

Evergreens UK were called in to produce a scaled down sports pitch complete with white lines for the penalty boxes and centre circle. Evergreens used the number one selling display fake grass, Springfield Curl and inlaid the surface with Spring White carpet. The pile heights of these products are the same and once inlaid the result is a safe and durable surface, ideal for short term soccer events or similar.

The official day of opening featured a photo call to promote the new wembley tube station to coinside with the new stadium with MP Ken Livingston and ex-england goal keeper David Seaman in attendance.

Lucky school children got the chance to beat David Seaman in the small goal as part of the event. It was a fantastic day for the kids to be part of and resulted in a succesful opening of the station, a station that will be widely used by sports fans and visitors to the area in the coming years following the completion of the impressive stadium.

For Nikes photo shoot Evergreens UK was contacted to supply and install 500sqm of Grass Park Junior over night at Elstree Studios. As part of the installation a 10mm rubber shock pad was fitted, this was used because players would be using football boots with studs and the rubber shock pad would allow a level of cushioning to them.

The production included various Nike sponsored players from around Europe who were flown in to London City Airport and driven to the studio. The area was used to photograph the players striking the ball into the net and included many trick shots.

The area was fitted in 4 hours overnight this included installing 26 rolls of rubber shock pad and 500sqm of Grass Park Junior. Evergreens used two fitting teams and included the use of fork lift equipment supplied by Evergreens. The Surface was removed the following evening after the filming was complete at 10pm.

Evergreens UK was pleased to supply and install 300sqm of Grass Park Senior for Leicester Expo 04. The installation was started at 7am and was complete by 10am. The installation consisted of 90 meters of joins and 70m of anti-trip edge and three tonne of sand to prevent the edges from lifting in high wind. The event was down for three days over a Bank Holiday, the Grass Park Senior was then carefully rolled up and donated to the RNIB.

To follow on from the success of Leicester Expo 04, Evergreens was again asked to install an artificial grass leisure area for the Leicester Expo 05.

This area was increased to 12m wide and 75m long which totaled 1200smq. Installation started at 6am and was completed by 4pm this included over 250 meters of joins and 162 meters of anti trip edges. Once again sand was used to hold the artificial grass in place, over 6 tonnes were used and the area had various stages constructed over it. The event was over a bank holiday weekend and removal was done at 5am the next working day with the site clear by 8:30am.
